Welcome to my site!
I am a PhD Interdisciplinary Ecologist graduated from the School of Natural Resources and Environment (SNRE) at the University of Florida. My academic program included a concentration in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation (WEC), home department of my advisor Dr. Miguel Acevedo. I was also part of the Florida Museum of Natural History (FMNH), home department of my co-advisor Dr. Scott Robinson. Finally, I also collaborated with the Tropical Conservation and Development program (TCD).
My research interests are broad, ranging from participatory science and outreach programs to biodiversity monitoring and global change ecology, including the use of a variety of tools such as acoustics, community science, ecological modeling, and/or field exploration.
Currently I am a postdoctoral researcher at WEC-UF, working with quantitative analyses of population dynamics of the marvelous Everglades Snail Kite (Rostrhamus sociabilis plumbeus).
Acknowledgement of privilege
I acknowledge that my experiences have been shaped by the privileges afforded to me by my gender, race, and birthplace (a capital city), along with the support of my family and mentors in pursuing my dreams. We should each make a personal effort to extend these opportunities to many others.
